I shared this book with my own two boys and nieces.
I became an elementary teacher and used this book for 13 years in the classroom and the children loved it. I used it MOSTLY in sequencing activities.
I can't believe a soft cover book has lasted so long, but it is one of my prized possessions.
I was thrilled to find this copy on Amazon, because I would not let anyone touch my original copy since it was/is so old.
This rhyming story teaches good lessons about perseverance, encouragement, helping others, and team work.

I bought I Can't Said The Ant as a second hand book, due to in no longer being in print. It arrived in wonderful condition.
I was quite pleased, because, you just never know. And this was the first time I had bought a book second hand. I am very pleased with this purchase!
So happy to have found it. Our grown children loved it and now it is for our great-grandchildren! I can hardly wait to read it to them--with them. It was fun to hear our "big kids" (AARP members!) recite some of the lines from childhood memory!

This is such a classic and fun book of rhymes. When my son was just gaining proficiency with reading he couldn’t get enough of the silly rhymes. We still throw lines into regular conversation. “Form a battalion said the scallion!” We’ve gifted this book to several friends as well.
